As part of our efforts to provide a safe, secure, and pleasant shopping environment, Dufferin Mall management asks that you take a moment to familiarize yourself with our policies:

Smoking

Dufferin Mall is a smoke-free facility in accordance with all government legislation. Smoking or vaping is prohibited within nine metres of any entrance or covered area. This includes the use of medical and non-medical cannabis products.

Loitering

Loitering is prohibited on mall benches, the Food Court, and anywhere else on Dufferin Mall property.  Congregating in large groups is also prohibited.

Disruptive Behaviour

Running, horseplay, profane language, obscene gestures, spitting, littering, bicycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, scootering, fighting, mischief, and vandalism are all prohibited. Any act that violates Municipal, Provincial, or Federal laws or regulations is prohibited.

Audio & Video Equipment

Personal entertainment and electronic devices are permitted but may only be operated at acceptable volume levels that do not disturb others. The use of photo and/or video devices is prohibited without prior approval from Dufferin Mall management.

Distributing Literature/Soliciting

Distributing printed materials on mall property

Clothing/Attire

Appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes, must be worn. Attire that may be considered objectionable, constitutes a disguise, and/or is intended to conceal identity is prohibited.

Personal Mobility Devices

Motorized wheelchairs or medical scooters are permitted but may only be operated at low speeds to ensure the safety of all guests.

Service Animals

Pets are prohibited inside of Dufferin Mall except for Service Animals that are trained to assist people with disabilities.

Mall Equipment

The improper use of elevators and escalators is prohibited. Escalators are not to be used as staircases when not in operation. Strollers, wheelchairs, and/or shopping carts are not permitted on escalators.

Prohibited Items

Bicycles and shopping carts are prohibited inside of Dufferin Mall. Skateboards, roller blades, and scooters are not permitted for use inside of the mall but may be brought in so long as they are always carried by the guest.

Dufferin Mall is privately owned property which is open to the public for business purposes. Dufferin Mall reserves the right to administer and enforce all rules and regulations of the Code of Conduct in accordance with provisions of the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario.
